Moree Plains Shire Council/UNE Country Scholarship for Urban and Regional Planning

If you are from the country, have high academic achievements, have been involved in leadership positions in school, clubs or the community and are enrolling in a course in urban and regional planning, you have a chance of being awarded this scholarship. The recipient will be required to perform work experience with the Moree Plains Shire Council during their course.

Offers will be conditional on the applicant meeting all eligibility requirements upon enrolment (see Moree Plains Shire Council/UNE Country Scholarship Terms and Conditions).

Value: $5,000 per annum for four years

Closing Date: Last Friday in September - (not 2009) 

Eligibility:

  1. open to students completing Year 12 and gap year students
  2. residents of regional or remote areas
  3. a UAI of at least 75 (or equivalent)
  4. applying for admission to a course in urban and regional planning
  5. residential address must be within the Moree Plains Shire Council area. If there are no suitable applicants from the Moree Plains Shire area, other applicants from regional or remote areas may be considered.

Selection is based on:

  1. academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance in the HSC or equivalent
  2. involvement and leadership in school and community activities
  3. commitment to the proposed course
  4. Principal’s assessment

If you are applying for more than one of the scholarships listed on the Undergraduate Scholarships Application form, you should use the same form for all your applications.
