Kempton Agricultural/UNE Country Scholarship

If you are from the country, have high academic achievements, have a keen interest in agriculture, and have been involved in leadership positions in school, clubs or the community you have a chance of being awarded this scholarship.

Offers will be conditional on the applicant meeting all eligibility requirements. (see Kempton Agricultural/UNE Country Scholarship).

Value:                    $5,000 per annum for duration of course

Applications open:  Mid July

Closing date:         Last Friday in September

Eligibility:

  • open to students completing year 12 and gap year students commencing university study for the first time
  • aged 21 or under at the start of the academic teaching year
  •  applying for admission to an undergraduate agriculture course
  •  outstanding academic achievement - a UAI of at least 85 or an ATAR of at least 86.30 (or equivalent)  
  •  residential address must be in a regional or remote area.

Selection is based on:

  • academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance in the HSC or equivalent
  • involvement in leadership in school and community activities
  • commitment to the proposed course
