The Edward Scott-Clyde Agriculture Ltd/UNE Country Scholarship

If you are from the country, considering enrolling in the Bachelor of Agriculture or an associated double degree, have high academic achievements and have been involved in leadership positions in school, clubs or the community, you have a chance of being awarded this scholarship.

Offers will be conditional on the applicant meeting all eligibility requirements upon enrolment (see The Edward Scott-Clyde Agriculture//UNE Country Scholarship Terms and Conditions).

Value: $6,000 per annum for up to three years

Applications open:  Mid July

Closing date:  Last Friday in September

Eligibility:

  • open to students completing Year 12 and gap year/s students who are commencing University study for the first time
  • aged 21 or under at the start of the academic teaching year
  • outstanding academic achievement – a UAI of at least 85 or an ATAR of at least 86.30 (or equivalent)
  • residents of regional or remote areas.

Selection is based on:

  • academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance during the HSC or equivalent
  • involvement and leadership in school and community activities
  • commitment to the proposed course
  • career aspirations, interpersonal and communications skills, initiative and self motivation
  • Principal’s assessment.
