Max Schroder UNE Scholarship for Continuing Students

If you are an Australia Aboriginal or Torres Strait islander, from a rural area, continuing student, you have a chance of being awarded this scholarship. 

Offers will be conditional on the applicant meeting all eligibility requirements. (see Max Schroder UNE  Scholarship Terms and Conditions).

Value: $6,000 per annum

Number: 4 (two teaching and two any other discipline)

Duration: Duration of degree (maximum of 4 year)

Eligibility:

  • open to Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who are already enrolled in  an undergraduate degree at the University of New England
  • come from a rural area
  • demonstrate financial need and
  • make regular contact with the Oorala Aboriginal Centre at UNE

Selection is based on:

  • academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance during the HSC or equivalent
  • involvement and leadership in school and community activities
  • commitment to the proposed course
  • a letter from an authorised person that comments on the applicant’s financial circumstances
  • statement describing how they would benefit from a scholarship

How to apply:

Please complete the online Undergraduate Scholarship Application Form and the Academic Referee’s report by the closing date. Once you have completed the form please save it to your desk top and then attach it to an email through AskUNE http://www.une.edu.au/askune/ and mark the email Attention Scholarships.
