There's something for everyone - and if there's not, let us know. Remember we are here for you and will sort something out! Listed below are afew unqiue social items at Robb. Orientation WeekOrientation Week is the week prior to when classes start each year and is a good time to get to know people in the college. On arrival at Robb, students are given the Schedule of Events. The week is always aimed at being the most memorable of any resident's first year. Fresher MatchThe Fresher Match is played early each year with the Robb freshers taking on St. Alberts' freshers in a duel to see which side is the strongest at the beginning of the year. Beach DayBeach day is held in the earlier, (and thankfully) warmer part of the year. It is held to raise funds for the Rugby Club. A giant slide is created in the Ampitheatre as the main attraction, with other events held throughout the day, such as the Fresher race. Robb BallThis is a black tie event held in the third term of each year. A committee organises the event and encourages all interested members to help with decorations and setting up. Grand FinalRobb College continues to be a dominant force in the regional Rugby competition, making the grand finals without fail. Tattersalls HotelTattersalls on the Armidale Mall sponsors both the Robb College Junior Common Room, Robb Rugby Union Football Club, and offers a Scholarship in conjunction with the Rugby Club to the College. Every Tuesday night is devils at the Tattersalls Hotel. West Court PaintballPainball is non alcholic function which embraces the slogan, "Paintball we're like one big dysfunctional family". You'll learn new jargon just like 50b which means bunker located in 50yards! RF CommitteeThe Resident Fellows enforce the rules around the college ensuring your rights are respected. In addition, they are responible for organising formal and semi-formal dinners. Please see the Robb Calendar for an upto date list of events organised by the Resident Fellows. Formal DinnersFormal/Semi-Formal/Buffet Dinners are held regularly, and are important functions on the College Calendar. They are often followed by such events as guest speakers, debates, dances or competitions. |
