About Robb
With expansive views of the campus and playing fields, Robb covers five acres with impressive gardens, expansive lawns, and excellent College facilities. Centrally heated individual student rooms include telephones, excellent wireless internet, storage, desk space, bed and bedding. Common rooms and study rooms are well-furnished, and the dining hall is inviting with an open fire for winter warmth. The College Foundation funds scholarships which aim to attract talented students. Annual prizes and bursaries reward academic success.
Robb has a proud heritage that spans just over 50 years, and a College spirit that is highly prized. Its residents are attracted from both city and country regions and study across all faculties and disciplines of the University. The rural ethos of character, strength and integrity is upheld at Robb, and many opportunities exist for contribution and leadership. Our college has a vigorous student life, offering many sporting and social opportunities.
Highlights of the year are the Robb Ball, Parent & Student Weekend, and the Annual Charity Project. Cultural offerings include the Art Exhibition, and formal dinners such as the Rural Focus and Health lecture series. Academic and personal assistance is available from a team of Resident Tutors and Court Mentors who live in the College and are selected for approachability as well as academic excellence. Members of the college’s Senior Common Room are also available to assist students with academic and personal matters.
