Smoke Free Environment Policy

 Policy for Smoke Free Environment

 Implementation Date 1st March, 1993.

 

Smoking is not permitted in any UNE vehicle, building (excluding designated areas within the Bistro and smoking wings in residential colleges) or any area which will allow smoke to enter any building through windows, doors or air ducts.

Each residential college, at the discretion of its Head, may establish designated wings or floors where smoking will be permitted.

All advertisements and contracts for staff positions, student enrolments, conferences and seminars, private contractors and lessees will contain a statement that the University of New England has a policy for a smoke free environment.
