Step 1. Identify the funding source
- Where to find funding opportunities:

Step 2. Preparing the application
- Research Services (RDI) can help interpret funding rules and budgets, and provide previous knowledge with your application so CONTACT US
To submit an application, you need to complete a Project Approval Form (PAF) which has been signed by your HOS.
Step 3. How can Research Services (RDI) help?
- When your draft is received, RDI will review the application, check eligibility, arrange an editorial service if required, provide feedback and submit the final application.

Step 4. Submit your application by the deadline
- For internal review, RDI need your final / final draft application AT LEAST 1 week before they are due to the funding body. This will be stated on the funding opportunity site or given to you when you contacted RDI earlier.
- Your application needs to be accompanied by a PAF before it can be signed off and/or submitted
Step 5. Where do I submit the application?
- RDI is located in the eastern wing on the 3rd floor of the TC Lamble Building.
- Electronic applications can be submitted to grants@une.edu.au
Step 6. Application Outcomes
- Successful applications are announced to the first named investigtor by e-mail. If you are contacted directly by the funding body, please inform RDI as soon as possible.
Step 7. Project Administration
- We can assist in collating information for contract execution, keep track and provide reminders for any milestones that are due and answer any questions you have
- Please contact RDI regarding contracts or any reporting involved with your successful application.
