We support UNE academic staff seeking to deliver their expertise to external clients in consulting projects. This activity relates to activities outlined in UNE's Paid Outside Work Policy. In the interest of UNE's research performance the services include technical advice and support in the preparation of complex tenders for Government and international aid agency clients.
Summary of services delivered to UNE academic staff:
• Notices of current consulting and tendering opportunities
• Assistance and review of consulting proposals and tenders, including budgets
• Member of tender bid teams, providing professional advice for the duration of the bid
• Liaison with potential and existing clients
• Project management of successful consulting proposals and tenders
• Targeting potential clients for specific academic expertise
• Marketing visits to potential future clients
• Workshops and advice on marketing techniques for academic expertise
• Assistance with intellectual property issues in consulting proposals and tenders
• Assistance in the preparation of research commercialisation and in targeting potential industry partners
