UNE and DECCW PhD Strategic Scholarship The School of Environmental and Rural Science at the University of New England in collaboration with the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) is seeking a suitably qualified PhD candidate to undertake research that addresses; Vegetation Condition and Landscape Context as Predictors of biodiversity Status and Ecosystem Function. International Student Scholarships
Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
These are highly sought-after Australian Government scholarships that are awarded annually to commencing full-time international higher degree research students who have been offered an unconditional place in a Higher Degree Research course at UNE.
Students who are awarded an Endeavour IPRS from UNE are automatically awarded a UNE Stipend Scholarship (living allowance).
Not Administered by UNE:
Endeavour Postgraduate Awards - Government funded scholarships for international students which include a living allowance, tuition fees and other allowances.

American Australian Association Education Fund: The Association is very excited to announce the addition of new Australia-to-US Fellowships. Each Fellowship awards up to US$25,000 to a top Australian postgraduate student pursuing advanced research in the US each year. Applications clost 15th April 2010.

Bushfire CRC Postgraduate Research Scholarship: Calling for outstanding postgraduate students to be part of a multidisciplinary research program investigating such topis as fire behaviour, management of fire in the landscape and the social and economic aspects of bushfire in Australia and New Zealand.
2 x PhD Scholarships - Nutritional and genetic improvement for the Australian Sheep Industry: We seek applications from high level graduates in the Veterinary, Agricultural or Biological Sciences to undertake doctoral level research. A demonstrable interest in and understanding of the sheep industry and the production systems is desirable though not essential.
You will become part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary research group working in collaboration with industry and led by the Sheep CRC. The projects will work within a national research program investigating relationships between environmental and genetics parameters of importance to sheep production across Australia. Research activities will range from animal house and laboratory-based studies to on-farm implementation. A PhD annual tax-free stipend of $30,000 will be available to two outstanding applicants for 3 years. Applicants must be Australian citizens or have permanent resident status, and enrol full-time at UNE. Dan David Prize Each year the Dan David Prize awards 20 scholarships to outstanding doctoral and post doctoral students of excellent achievement and promise, studying topics related to the chosen fields. Applications close 31 March 2010.
