UNE International Research Linkages and Collaborative Grants Scheme (UNE IRL)
2008 Round - due to the short timeframe for this first round,
support will be for existing collaborations which need strengthening or require specific seed funding.
Introduction / Background
· This scheme is to support the development of strong international and industry research collaborations.
· $60,000 of funding will be available this year, for individual grants of between $10,000 and $20,000.
· Funding will be directed to proposals aligned with targeted research strengths.
· Funds will be awarded for a period of 1 year.
Scope / Purpose
· The primary objective is to support the development of international research collaborations that will significantly enhance UNE’s links with high quality overseas institutions and industry partners.
· Successful proposals will build the University’s international research profile and reputation.
· Projects must be designed to produce quality publishable outputs and lead to applications for further external funding, for example such schemes as ARC Linkage and ARC Linkage International.
