The Discipline of Sociology and Criminology has a long tradition of teaching and research excellence and innovation and is seeking a Professor who will assist in developing this tradition.

The successful candidate will provide academic, entrepreneurial and strategic leadership, and have a distinguished international record of research with a record of success in attracting external competitive research funding. He/she will demonstrate a high personal commitment to, and achievement in, the scholarly areas appropriate to the position, and provide leadership in developing and maintaining links between the University and relevant external organisations at all levels.

This position would suit someone who wishes to lead a Discipline with an excellent long term record in teaching, an ability to attract students, and a solid and growing reputation in research and grant success.
