Internal Audit Officer

Risk Management and Audit

The appointee will be responsible for providing expert advice on accounting, audit, policy and procedural matters to the Director (Risk Management and Audit) and senior managers across the University in accordance with auditing best practice and standards.  This will involve undertaking audit and quality assurance reviews (financial, compliance and operational) or associated work in accordance with relevant auditing standards and risk management concepts; and utilising specialist data software or sophisticated computer interrogation techniques to gather and analyse financial and operational data when involved in end to end process reviews.  CPA/CA and membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia would be well regarded.

This position would ideally suit someone who wishes to retain their career focus while also having the desire for a life-style change in beautiful Armidale, New England. Armidale is surrounded by world heritage national parks, is only two hours from the mid north coast and is a unique regional centre that offers all the facilities of a much larger city. Salary

$61,149 to $68,466 per annum (HEO Level 7)
plus 17% employer superannuation and optional salary packaging
