The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) supports the University's full range of teaching activities and provides academic skills support for students.
The Lecturer in Higher Education will be a member of the Academic Unit within the TLC. S/He will be responsible for initiating and coordinating academic development activities, conducting research related to teaching and learning in higher education, providing advice and support to NESB academic staff in their teaching, supporting NESB student development, and providing advice on policy in teaching and learning.
Applicants must have a doctoral qualification and recognised significant research and development experience in the relevant discipline area, demonstrated ability as a teacher at the university level, and demonstrated ability to develop workshops and resources to enhance spoken communication in a university environment.
This is a 12 month fixed-term appointment with the possibility of further appointment, and/or conversion to a continuing appointment, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Consideration may be given to filling the position on a less than full-time basis.
