Professor/Associate Professor of Pharmacy

School of Science and Technology

The School of Science and Technology comprises an inter-disciplinary team in the subject areas of Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology and Physiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. The School conducts teaching and research through an exciting range of undergraduate, Honours and postgraduate courses and research degrees by dissertation within these disciplines.  The successful candidate will lead staff in the further development of an innovative, new Pharmacy degree proposed to be offered from Semester 1, 2010.  It will be offered both on campus and via distance education with a particular view to educating students for regional and rural pharmacy practice.

The successful candidate will have a distinguished international research profile with a strong record of success in attracting external competitive research funding and will lead staff in curriculum development and innovative approaches to research and teaching in Pharmacy at all levels.  He/she will demonstrate a high personal commitment to, and achievement in, the scholarly areas appropriate to the position and provide leadership in developing and enhancing links between the University and the pharmacy profession at international, national, state and local levels.
