Research Project Officer (Fixed-term)

The Faculty of The Professions is committed to excellence in research. The Faculty has over 170 academic staff in the disciplines of Education, Health, Business, Economics, Public Policy, Law and Medicine. The Research Project Officer will assist the Faculty to achieve its goals by providing specialist support for the development and submission of grant and tender applications, providing advice on the administrative management of grant or funding-related research projects, and by actively seeking out new funding opportunities. Applicants must possess a demonstrated knowledge of research funding opportunities and application procedures; demonstrated project administration/management and/or high-level organisational skills; ability to write concise and effective applications; capacity to develop and document budgets; and analytical skills and the capacity to think strategically. This is a fixed-term position available for 12 months with the possibility of further appointment subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Consideration will be given to filling this position on a less than full-time basis. Applicants should indicate their preference for full-time or part-time work.
