The School of Education has a strong profile in providing highly regarded pre-service and postgraduate teacher education, research and consultancy and is a long term provider of excellent distance education learning. The appointee will work directly with the Director of Professional Experience, with involvement in the ongoing development and monitoring of pre-service professional experience programs, support pre-service teachers prior to, during and after school practicum placement, liaise with and support supervising teachers and assist with the development of new initiatives to meet required quality indicators across all pre-service teacher courses. Applicants must have demonstrated significant contributions to the teaching profession at local and regional levels and an awareness of the needs of teachers and students within these environments, a recognised teaching qualification and a demonstrated record of recent quality teaching and leadership in schools.
