Library Assistant (Document Services)

This position is within the Information Services Department of the University Library. Responsibilities of the position include providing enquiry, lending, interlibrary loan and document services to staff and students of the University. This position is based in Dixson Library, but the appointee may be required to work in the Law Library. Applicants must have well developed written and oral communication skills; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; the ability to complete high volume routine tasks accurately and quickly within specified deadlines; and be available to work on a rostered basis during the full span of Library opening hours. Appointment to this position may be made at either HEO level 3 or level 4, depending on the skills and experience of the appointee. Applicants must specify which level they are applying for and address the selection criteria relevant to that level. Preference is for a full-time appointment but consideration may be given to filling the position on a less-than full-time basis and all applicants should indicate the hours per week you would be available.
