This half-time Research Fellow will work on an ARC Discovery Grant, “Safeguarding Rural Australia: Masculinity and Violence in Rural Settings”. The Research Fellow will be required to manage the day to day tasks of project management, conduct literature searches and reviews, write research reports, supervise casual research staff, conduct research in a team and independently, undertake the necessary research administration associated with the project. The position would suit an early career researcher looking to develop their skills in applied social research with a high profile multi-disciplinary research team. Applicants must have postgraduate qualifications (ideally a PhD) or equivalent research experience in a field of social science relevant to the ARC project and a track record in research and publication. Skills in interpreting social statistics, conducting focus groups, interviews and using computer software are desirable. This position is available for 2 years with the possibility of further extension of six months subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
