Research Outputs Liaison Officer (Fixed-term)

The Research Outputs Liaison Officer will assist University faculty to contribute digital copies of their research publications to the University’s online research repository, at http://e-publications.une.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Index. The officer will actively promote the repository to Faculty staff, and provide training and support in contributing to it. The officer will be employed in the Library’s Electronic Services Development Department and work in collaboration with the Research Services Directorate. Applicants will have the skills necessary to liaise with academic staff, support staff and research students; will provide one on one and group educational assistance regarding open access issues and the role of institutional repositories in general; will provide support and training to staff submitting academic objects to the repository; and will be familiar with guidelines relating to external data collections (such as the annual DEEWR Publications Audit and research quality reviews). This is a fixed term position available for a period of up to 24 months, with the possibility of further appointment subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
