This position provides administrative support to staff in Student Assist. Student Assist incorporates personal counselling, career development, equity, disability, access centres and service quality at UNE. This position provides the first point of contact for all clients (both staff and students of the University) and requires the incumbent to deal with complex, highly sensitive and competing demands as a result of the variety of presenting issues of clients. The successful applicant will require high-level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact constructively and sensitively with a broad range of clients and colleagues. High-level organisational skills, the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also essential.
