Research Fellow in Multimodal Authoring Pedagogy

The School of Education at the University of New England with the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) has been successful in gaining a large competitive research grant from the Australian Research Council (ARC). The topic of the research is Teaching effective 3D authoring in the middle school years: Multimedia grammatical design and multimedia authoring pedagogy. The School of Education is looking to appoint a part-time (0.75) researcher for a fixed term period of three years to take overall responsibility for management of the project including organisation, administration, day-to-day budget management and procedural conduct of the project. The Research Fellow will also be managing and conducting data collection, undertaking analysis and interpretation. The position will be located at the ACTF offices in Fitzroy in Melbourne. Applicants must have: a university degree and qualifications in a field relevant to the position; and/or relevant advanced significant training and experience in digital multimedia in education; understanding of teaching and learning environments; high level project management skills; and knowledge of Australian primary and secondary school curricula. Excellent written communication and organisational skills; the capacity to work effectively both independently and as a coordinator of a team of peers; and a high level of expertise in using computer software for word processing, graphics and database management and webpage development are also required.
