INTERNAL TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY Applications are invited from current permanent and fixed-term staff members of the University (who have been appointed as a result of an advertised position or who have continuously occupied an unadvertised position for more than twelve (12) months at the closing date) for the following position. The Research Outputs Liaison Officer will assist University faculty to contribute digital copies of their research publications to the University’s online repository for its research output, e-publications@UNE. The officer will promote, and provide training and support in contributing to, the repository at http://e-publications.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Index The officer will be employed in the Library’s Electronic Services Development Department and work in collaboration with the Research Services Directorate. Applicants must have: the skills necessary to liaise with academic staff, support staff and research students; provide one on one and group educational assistance regarding open access issues and the role of institutional repositories in general; provide support and training on the submission of academic objects to the repository; be familiar with guidelines relating to external data collections (such as the annual DEEWR Publications Audit and research quality reviews). This is a fixed term position available for a period of up to 24 months, with the possibility of further appointment subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
