Conditions

Awarded to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences presenting theses or dissertations on a topic in Australian History.  The prize shall be awarded each year, on the recommendation of the Head of the School of Humanities, to the student who produces the best thesis or dissertation on a topic in Australian History, provided it is certified by the Head of the School of Humanities to be of at least a First Class Honours BA standard, or, in the case of works submitted for the Master of Arts (Honours) or PhD degrees, of a corresponding standard of excellence.  In any year when there is no thesis or dissertation in Australian History of the requisite standard, the prize shall not be awarded
