National Indigenous Cadetship Project (NICP)

Managed by Department of Employment & Workplace Relations (DEWR), this Project provides opportunities throughout the year for Indigenous Australians to gain qualifications for a range of jobs in the public and private sectors.

Once registered you will need to enter your results for each semester of study during the academic year

Aboriginal Nursing & Midwifery Cadetships, NSW Health

For full-time undergraduate Nursing or Midwifery students, these cadetships commence in January 2010 and offer:

* Study allowance of $600 per fortnight while you are at university
* Financial assistance to pay for books and equipment
* Employment for 12 weeks full-time in your local hospital or Justice Health facility
* Support from a Mentor, Clinical Support staff and Program Coordinator
* Ongoing employment upon successful completion of the cadetship
