Student eMail
Office 365 launch! Office 365 went live for students on Monday, 26th November 2012
What is Office 365?
Office 365 is a cloud-based service that will replace our current email system (Webmail) with a fully featured online email service. Office 365 is designed with mobile computing platforms such as iPads and mobile phones in mind and includes features such as calendars and tasks to effectively manage study time.
Why did UNE change to a new email system?
Office 365 does not just provide you with email - though it does that very well. Calendar and contact lists will give you the ability to sync contacts calendars and reminders with your mobile devices.
Our old faithful mail system has been providing a basic student email for many years but it is now time to improve our service to students with a full cloud solution.
In future releases of Office 365, access to a whole suite of programs that will be useful for your study (Word, Excel etc) will be included - this should be in place later in 2013.
When did the change occur?
The new system went live midday, Monday 26th November 2012. All old students emals were converted to the new system and any new students will now be issued with an Office 365 account.
Will I get a new email address?
Yes. Your new email address has the format username@myune.edu.au.
How do I access my new email account?
There will be a number of ways to access your Office365 account.
You can access it online at http://access.myune.edu.au (from 26th November) or use the links from the university homepage and many other places on the UNE website.

To view instructions on how to set up your device, please go to the Office365 support page, select your device / operating system from the drop-down menus and follow the steps provided.
