How to Study Online
- Browse the list of available courses (previous page)
- Select a course that suits your needs and send a registration form either online or by fax to (02) 6773 2755
- As soon as this as processed you will receive an email notifying you of your enrolment and providing further advice on access or location.
If this is your first experience of online learning, you might need to consider the following points:
- Online learning requires commitment and routine - you are your own task master so you'll need to set up your own learning schedule and stick to it.
- Online learning is not a short cut to learning - in fact, you might even find that you need to work harder to achieve your learning goals online - but it is self-paced and you do get to learn at home or at your desk.
- Simply reading through the course materials will not lead to effective learning. You need to "engage" with the material: work through the exercises, write your own notes, pause to think, and talk to others about it. The more you mentally apply these ideas as you learn them, the better you will be able to apply them in practice.
- This online course is not meant to replace conventional classroom learning. Some learners will find that e-learning is not for them. Don't abandon your learning goals if you find the going is tough online - call or email Organisational Development and book into a trainer-led class instead
