Section 5 - Academic Teaching, Learning and Skills
The Academic Skills Office is a valuable resource for both academic staff and students. The Office is the University’s learning support unit and part of the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC). You will find a comprehensive list of academic work-related policies at the TLC site (including information relating to distance education, academic professional development and teaching resources)
Other bodies and units within the University, which have direct involvement in matters relating to academic staff teaching and learning skills include Council and its committees, the Office of the Secretariat, the Information Technology Directorate (ITD), Dixson Library and the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching Grants.

Accreditation bodies and/or industry requirements
The accreditation approving body is the Academic Board and its Committees in the Office of the Secretariat.
Quality assurance
The Standing Committee of the Academic Board monitors and reviews the quality assurance framework. The Teaching and Learning committee develops, monitors and reviews policies, procedures and guidelines for the University’s teaching programs, admission, advanced standing, and credit assessment.
