Furthering Women @ UNE

An initiative of the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Human Resource Services (Organisational Development Unit and Employment Equity & Diversity Office).

To address the declining female representation at the senior levels within the organisation, as well as to facilitate development and progression of all female employees, the Furthering Women @ UNE strategy was launched in 2010.

On International Women's Day, 8 March 2010, all UNE female employees were invited to a discussion forum which was opened by Graham Webb, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and chaired by Alison Sheridan, Head of School of Business, Economics and Public Policy. Items for discussion included the range of initiatives and programs that would be available to female employees from 2010, and exploration of the needs of female employees at UNE and the ways in which these needs might be met at an individual and organisational level.
