First Aid Certification
Essential skills required to administer first aid to a victim of injury or illness until the arrival of professional medical help. The course is recommended for staff in busy areas or dealing directly with students & clients.
This course is approved by WorkCover NSW.
This course in mandatory for all UNE staff members who perform the role of First Aid Officer or First Aider.
Blended delivery: Participants must complete the workbook prior to attending the 1 day practical session. The workbook will take approximately 3 hours to complete. Participants are required to collect the First Aid workbook from ODU (top floor, Lamble Building), preferably one week prior to the course date to allow time for study.

CPR
This 3 hours course covers skills and knowledge required to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in line with ARC (Australian Resuscitation Council) guidelines. Participants must complete the workbook prior to attending the CPR practical session.

- Identify assess and minimise haszards
- Minimise immediate risk in accordance with OHS principles
- Assess vital signs of casualty
