Crucial Conversations @ UNE

Crucial ConversationsTM  Vital Smarts USA International Program

A 2 day workshop offered by UNE

(by direct nomination from Heads of Schools/Directors)

How do you share facts, ideas, feelings and opinions candidly when the emotional atmosphere is highly charged or even fierce? If you are not achieving what you have worked for then it may be that a critical conversation or dialogue has blocked you. When we are uncertain on how to approach a tricky, controversial, complex or highly charged issue we may choose to remain silent, or rush at it with force or just feel helpless. The outcome is far less than desired and produces its own negative consequences and, critically, productivity suffers.

Having a collaborative approach with tough issues achieves far more than any other approach.

This course shows you How!

How to see such issues coming before they land on you AND how to fix them WITHOUT the emotional rancor or disappointment that can occur and is so unproductive.

You will learn how to:

  • Share thoughts, ideas & feelings safely and out in the open
  • Maintain high levels of integrity and respect

And to do this without causing the expected resistance and/or resentment that is common in these types of situations. Achieve the breakthroughs you wish for and better handle those crucial conversations with greater confidence and outcomes.

Please contact OD or Geoff (3614) for further information.
