CMS Training

CMS Training is now offered through the Organisational Development Unit.

Register for a training session by logging into Web Kiosk and select the My HR tab, then on the left hand side select the Personal Development folder, then Training Requests and the CMS Training Foundation/Intermediate is listed as an IT course.

After attending the CMS Training Foundation course you need to request your Head of School/Director to email ITD to authorise your access to your CMS group.

The scheduled CMS Training Dates scheduled for 2012 are:

CMS Foundation - Third Thursday of the month commencing February, from 9.30 - 12.30

With an extra CMS Foundation course on Wednesday, December 5.

CMS Intermediate - Fourth Thursday of every second month, from 10.00 - 3.00 (with 1 hour lunch break)

March, May, July, September, November

Extra course times for Foundation or Intermediate can be arranged depending upon demand and staff numbers. Please contact ODU.

All CMS training sessions are held in the IT Training Room on the 2nd level of the IT Building.  Class size is limited to 6 nominations.  Places will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please book via Web Kiosk.

CMS Foundation

A Content Management System (CMS) is the software universally used by UNE to create, publish, and manage content on the web. This session will show you how to create web pages, how to edit and import content into the CMS. The basic processes include: Assign a new task; Edit, Review & Deploy Content. The CMS Foundation manual is available for UNE staff, along with the CMS Intermediate manual.

CMS Intermediate

The CMS Intermediate is designed for staff members who have attended the CMS Foundation course or who have not attended the Foundation Course but are confident using the system. This course will include: The Redirect form, the CMS form, Feature Include, Side Menu, Staff Profile, Construction of Tabs.
