About ODU

Mission: ODU facilitates change and improvement within UNE by providing information and quality professional training developed for the specific needs of the UNE community, assisting the organisation to achieve its strategic outcomes.

The Organisational Development Unit is part of the Human Resource Services Directorate, top floor of the TC Lamble building. Our role is to support the work of the University by the on-going development, implementation and monitoring of policies, strategies and initiatives to assist individuals, teams and work units to effectively and efficiently perform their work.  We do this in a number of ways including:

• providing advice on organisational development, change management and strategic planning strategies for managers and staff
• developing policy and implementation strategies for organisational issues affecting the way staff work
• developing, implementing and evaluating professional development policies, strategies and programs for academic and general staff; and
• providing individual consultations for staff on issues relating to training and career development
