New England Award Deadlines

There are two strict rules associated with the New England Award processes which include registering for the NEA and meeting the requirements of the NEA.

Rule 1

All students must be registered for the NEA for at least two full semesters before completing their studies.

For example, if you expect to complete your studies at the end of Semester 2, you must register before beginning Semester 1 in the same year.

Alternatively, if you expect to complete you studies at the end of Semester 1, you must register before the beginning of Semester 2 in the previous year.

Rule 2

All students must meet the requirements of the NEA by the time they complete their studies.

You need to upload your reflective journal (in MyNEA) and formally apply for the New England Certificate or New England Award (in MyNEA), by the last day of your final semester.

(1000 approved NEA points should be met well before the last day of semester - your journal cannot be uploaded until you have met the 1000 NEA points).

*Please note!

If you have two or more semesters left of your degree and you have already registered, all you need to be concerned about is meeting the requirements of the NEA at the same time you expect to complete your degree.
