UNE Student Ambassador Program 2013

UNE Student Ambassadors are selected to represent UNE as part of a volunteer program. This is your opportunity to gain recognition for valuable work experience and to be rewarded for developing a wide range of skills.
As a Student Ambassador you can:
• Gain communication, public speaking and teamwork skills
• Learn to write job applications and do job interviews
• Travel away to Expos, school visits and UNE events
• Receive ongoing training and support
• Attend welcome and awards nights
• Receive paid work and points towards the New England Award
• Gain valuable Work Experience
As a Student Ambassador you can volunteer to undertake paid and unpaid work to assist UNE with marketing, recruitment, business, and community projects and events. These include Open Day, Orientation week, Campus tours, school visits, and trips to Expos from the Sunshine Coast to Melbourne.
The program is coordinated by the Student Recruitment Team of the Marketing and Public Affairs Directorate. Student Ambassadors are able to choose their level of involvement in the program to ensure that their studies are always prioritised.
Eligibility
• Part time or full time enrolled UNE student
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
• In 2nd Year or above (1st Year students may apply but will not be asked to travel during university terms)
• Willing to complete brief online WorkReady component (this is not the WORK300/500 unit) and attend training
