Objectives of UMMA
The objectives of UMMA include:
- Organising activities related to the UNE Mosque including the maintenance an the development of the mosque building, its cleaning and decorating.
- Organising regular activities in the mosque such as Jumah prayer, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha and other Islamic celebrations.
- Teaching of the Quran and Hadiths.
- Provide Halal food for the Muslim Community.
- Liaise with the University of New England in improving the Mosque facilities.
- Act as a bridge between the Muslim community and the rest of the society.
