Jill Spilsbury Prize

This prize was instituted by Mrs Jill Spilsbury, former Principal of Mary White College from 1985 to 1997, and Honorary Fellow of the Senior Common Room.

Value:

$500 and name engraved on perpetual trophy. The prize will be paid directly to the recipient’s bank account in two instalments in the following year, after census date in trimester one and the beginning of trimester two.

Each year at the annual Awards Dinner:

Eligibility:

  • a Mary White College student intending to return to Mary White College the following year;
  • studying for their first degree at the University of New England, or finalising their first degree in the year of application and preparing to enrol in a subsequent degree at the University of New England in the following year;
  • did not commence their University studies immediately after High School;
  • be financially independent;
  • shown commitment to their studies and a willingness to be involved in the life of the Mary White College community.

How to Apply:

Applications will be advertised and opened to residents of Mary White College in August each year.
