Short term stays
External students and visitors can apply for short term accommodation in standard single student rooms at the college. These rooms share a common bathroom. See below for other accommodation options.
Accommodation at Mary White College is arranged in seven separate 'blocks'. The study/bedrooms are centrally heated, and each is equipped with a telephone, study lamp, chair, wardrobe, bookshelves, notice board, and a bed with all bed linen. Each floor has shared modern bathroom and toilet facilities.
The College is fully catered with all meals provided in the Mary Bagnall Dining Hall.
All residential blocks are provided with:
- A kitchenette with hot water facilities, fridge and microwave
- A common area with lounges
- A laundry, with washing machines , dryers (our washing machines and dryers are free!), or drying rooms and clothes lines (you only need to supply washing detergent)
- Photocopier/Printer/Scanner in the Computer Lab
- Car Park for MWC residents only (Permit required from coin operated coupon machines located around campus)
- Security Gates so only residents and friends are permitted between the hours of 10:00pm and 6.00am
- Bike Shed
In addition to the standard student rooms that are set aside for visitors we also have ten premium rooms for casual guests. The premium single rooms have an ensuite bathroom shared with the next room, TV , small refrigerator and high quality bed, settee and soft furnishings. The premium double rooms also have a separate sitting room and a private bathroom. Please contact the college office for rate details. We also have a limited number of standard single, twin and double ensuite rooms available outside term times - the office can give you further information about rates and availability.
If you wish to apply for a premium room please indicate this in the special request area of the online booking form as the online form only shows standard room details.
