Margaret Ann Franklin Prize
This prize was instituted by Emeritus Professor Richard Franklin, a former Professor of Philosophy at the University of New England. The prize is in memory of Emeritus Professor Franklin’s late wife, Margaret, who was a longstanding supporter of Mary White College and a member of its Senior Common Room.
Value:
$250. The prize will be paid directly to the recipient’s bank account.
Awarded:
Each year at the annual Chancellor’s Dinner.
Eligibility:
Awarded to a continuing resident of Mary White College for:
- academic excellence in the previous year;
- going into the second or third year of their study leading to the award of a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Science or a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws degree.
How to Apply:
Eligible students do not need to apply. The decision is made by the College based on the student who attains the best results in the previous year and meets the eligibility criteria above.
