Viewing eReserve Documents

To View a document click on the underlined title and the PDF image will be displayed. If the document image is not upright on the screen click the 'Rotate View' icon on the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar until it is - each click of the icon will rotate the page through 90 degrees.

If the document does not display you may need to load the Adobe Acrobat Reader software (click the link on the UNE eReserve Search page).

If you have the appropriate Reader loaded and still have difficulty retrieving the documents it may be a file size issue (document image files tend to be large). If you are unable to view the document online, it may be necessary for you to visit the Library in person or find a PC with a higher capacity Internet connection.

If you experience any difficulties you are unable to resolve, you can email the eReserve Team (Cody Fookes and Kirra Porter), who will help you with any problems.

Printing eReserve Documents

To Print an eReserve document simply click the print icon on the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar (don't use the print icon.)

Are all course reading materials available electronically?

Not all readings are available online. Journal articles and individual book chapters contributed to the eReserve, and the former Reserve Collection, by lecturers are being made available electronically. There is, however, much material on reading lists that have not been contributed by lecturers. You will need to seek these items individually through the regular Library mechanisms available to you.

At present, whole books cannot be accessed electronically. Books will still be available for loan from the Library.

Who has access to eReserve?

Use of eReserve materials is limited to University of New England students and staff.

Can I log in from home or other places off campus?

Yes - with a PC and Internet connection simply visit the UNE Home page, select 'Library' and then 'eReserve'. You will need to authenticate yourself by entering your UNE username and password when accessing eReserve. Visit the UNEonline Registration page to obtain your username and password if you don't already have them.

How can I increase the print size on the screen if is it is too small to read?

In Adobe Acrobat:

  1. To increase the font size of documents click the magnifying glass icon on the Adobe Acrobat tool bar (which is immediately above the text)
  2. place the cursor over the text where you want it, and click again.
