If your visit is less than 3 months, to borrow from our libraries you will need...

• a letter from your Head of School which contains your name and the dates you will be visiting the University
• Bring the letter to the Dixson Library Service Desk. We will give you a printout to use as a library card.

If your stay is longer than 3 months, to borrow from our libraries you will need...

• a letter from your Head of School which contains your name and the dates you will be visiting the University
• a passport photograph and a completed form
• Submit all of the above to the Dixson Library Service Desk, where we will process the form and send it to Security who will issue you with a library card.

Borrowing Information

Getting Online

• Your UNE username and password will give you access to our online resources
• All our electronic resources (including journals and eBooks) are listed in the catalogue.

Printing and Copying in the Library

• Your Library card can be used as a photocopier or print card provided it has funds attached
• You will need to associate your ID with your Library card
• You must organise payment for copying and printing with your UNE School. Scanning is free and is sent to your UNE email account.

Interlibrary Loans

• Through our interlibrary loan service, books, book chapters and articles are available to visiting academics for a small fee.
