Document Delivery
The University Library is willing to supply material from its collection to other libraries, both in Australia and worldwide. Items in the Library's collection are added to the National Bibliographic Database (NBD). This is searchable using Libraries Australia.
The Document Services Unit at the University Library will supply loans and copies from the University Library's collections to libraries located both in Australia and overseas. The DSU will supply:
- loans of books, videos, kits, and UNE PhD and Masters by Research theses - the loan period is for eight weeks and there are no renewals
- copies of journal articles, book chapters, and UNE PhD and Masters by Research theses.
Requests are accepted by KDD, fax, formatted and unformatted email, ariel, and post.

Requests for the loan or purchase of theses should be submitted as inter library loan requests (for example via KDD, email, fax or post), and a copyright declaration and quote are sent to the requesting library before staff make the copy.
Payment for ILL/DD services can be made through the KDD Payments Scheme, by ALIA vouchers, by cheque, by credit card, or by IFLA vouchers. Cheques should be made payable to the University of New England. Tax invoices will be sent with the items if requested by libraries who are not members of the KDD Payments Scheme.

Requests for the loan or purchase of theses should be submitted as inter library loan requests via email, fax or post. A copyright declaration and quote are sent to the requesting library and must be returned before we can supply the copy.
Payment for ILL/DD services can be made by cheque in Australian dollars drawn on an Australian bank, by credit card, or by IFLA vouchers. Please make cheques payable to the University of New England. Prepayment is not required - invoices are sent with the requested items.
