Borrowing books and other items
The Service Desk
Each library has a Service Desk, which is situated near the main entrance.
At the Service Desk, you can:
- borrow and return General Collection items
- borrow and return Reserve Collection items
- place holds and recalls on items out on loan
- renew items you have borrowed (provided that they are not required by another reader).
The number of books you can borrow at any one time and the length of loan period depend on your borrowing privileges.

UNE Card
A current UNE Card is required for all Service Desk transactions. Please note that you cannot borrow books, place holds or recalls, or renew an item on behalf of another borrower.
