-
recall notices. All items are subject to recall. As a recalled book may have its loan period cut short, borrowers should read all mail received from the Library, as the fines for ignoring a recall are heavy. A fine of $2 per day applies to each overdue (recalled) item. The fine for the late renewal or return of an item is $1.00 for each day. The fine for the late recall of items is $2.00 per day. The fine for the late return or renewal of Reserve Collection and Medical Reserve items is 50 cents per hour.
-
fine notices. Fine notices are sent when fines total $20.00 or more.
-
overdue notices. These are sent when an item becomes overdue. If an item is overdue 42 days, you will be charged a $100.00 replacement cost. This includes a $90.00 replacement charge and a $10.00 processing fee. If a long overdue item is returned or replaced with a new or good quality second hand copy in acceptable condition the $90.00 replacement charge is cancelled. However, you are still liable for the $10.00 processing fee.
-
