Ordering photocopies

External students can request photocopies of journal articles and book chapters from our collection. This is a free service, although charges will be incurred for large quantities of copying.

What sorts of items are copied for you?

The Library provides photocopies of a range of material from our collections. This material includes:

  • journal articles (including those in the Reserve Collection)

  • chapters from books

  • conference papers

  • government legislation

  • material on microfiche or microfilm.

When photocopying on behalf of external students, the Library must comply with the Copyright Act. This means that, according to the Act, you can request:

  • a chapter or 10% of pages (whichever is the greater) from books, and

  • one article from a journal.
