Bills
Bills currently before the Victorian Parliament are available from the Parliamentary Documents site.
The Library holds past Victorian bills together with explanatory memoranda. The bills and memoranda for the Legislative Assembly from 1968-69 to 1999 are held at D349.945/V641b. Those for the Legislative Council from 1970-71 to 1984 are at D349.945/V640b.
The Bills Status List gives information about the status of bills currently before both houses of Parliament.
Explanatory Memoranda
When a Bill becomes an Act, the explanatory memorandum is included with the Act in the Bound Volume of Acts (from 1999 Vol 3). Explanatory Memoranda are available online from 2001 at the Victorian Statute Book site.
Budget Papers
The latest Victorian Budget Papers are available online. Older budget papers are available from the site of the Department of Treasury and Finance.

By-laws
Some local government bodies post their by-laws on their Web sites. By-laws are also available for perusal at the main office of each local government authority. Notice of the making of local laws appears in the Victoria Government Gazette — General.

Government Gazette
Since 1987 the Victoria Government Gazette has come in the following parts:
- Victoria Government Gazette — General contains information regarding Acts of Parliament and their effective date of operation, government notices, requests for tenders as well as contracts accepted.
- Victoria Government Gazette — Special is published when required for urgent or special Government notices.
- Victoria Government Gazette — Periodical is published on Mondays when required and includes specialised information such as medical, dental and pharmacists registers.
The most recent issues of the Government Gazette is available on the Web. In addition, there is an online archive of General Gazettes from 1998 onwards and of Special and Periodical Gazette in PDF format.
The Victoria Government Gazette was first published in 1851, when Victoria became a state. Prior to that it was called the Port Phillip Government Gazette and Port Phillip Government Notices.

Government Publications
The Information Victoria site provides access to the sites of Government departments and agencies. Many of these sites have links to relevant publications. For example, recent publications of the Department of Infrastructure are available online from the Departmental site.
