Finding journal articles

Journal articles provide recent, scholarly research on your topic. Databases allow you to search across hundreds of journal titles online and often give you access to the full text of the journal article. You will need your UNE username and password to access the Library databases.

TIP - for phrase searching enclose your words - "food miles"

SpringerLink - In the 'Find content by keyword' box enter "food miles". To read an article in full click on the pdf link. You are able to email, save or print your results. The Abstract of the article will give you an idea of the content. The Reference list at the end of the article may provide further leads to other articles.

ProQuest - "food miles" in Citation and abstract with full text and scholarly journals boxes ticked.

Try other search combinations: "food miles" AND "environmental impact" in Citation and document text.

ScienceDirect - "food miles" within Title, Abstract and Keyword. Change the Source from All journals to Subscribed journals. You will then get full text access indicated by the green icon next to the article.
