Australian Public Affairs Full Text

You can access references to articles using Australian Public Affairs in Informit Online. This will give mainly Australian content.

Go to the University Library page.
Click on the Resources tab.
Select Informit from the Most Popular Databases on the right.
Enter your UNE username and password when prompted.
Click in the check boxes next to APA-FT - Australian Public Affairs - Full Text.
Click on the 'Start Searching' button.
Type accounting in the first box on the first row.
Type ethic* in the first box on the second row. Click in the 'Full text records only' check box.
Click on the Search box.
To view the article, click on the link beneath the citation Full Text PDF.
You may read it online, or choose from the retrieval choices to print or save a copy.

You can also do searches on specific companies. Try hih or enron.

SpringerLink

This is a useful database as includes full text from the Journal of Business Ethics and Teaching Business Ethics.

To access SpringerLink:

Go to the University Library page.
Click on the Resources tab.
Select SpringerLink from the Most Popular Databases on the right.
Type in All Text: financial reporting
Click on Search button.

We have access to the articles with the green box. To view the full text of an article, click on the article title, then click on Open Entire Document.

Factiva

You can access online newspaper articles immediately using Factiva.

Go to the University Library page.
Click on the Resources tab.
Select Factiva from the Most Popular Databases on the right
Enter your UNE username and password when prompted.
Step One: Type accounting and ethics in the Free Text box.
Step Two: Select a date range from the Date pulldown menu (last year)
Click on the Run Search button.
Click on the links to read the full text. You can repeat the search using hih, onetel or enron etc.

Please click on logout when finished.

Google Scholar

A Google Scholar search gives good results. Enter the keywords <accounting ethics> in the Search box.

Other choices

There are three other databases which have information on accounting ethics. You could try Emerald, Expanded Academic or ProQuest. All these are available from the Library page by selecting the Resources tab and then looking under Most Popular Databases.
