Letters Room Booking Request
The Letters Room in the Dixson Library is frequently used for Library classes and is primarily for larger groups. It is therefore not available on the Library’s direct booking system, but requests can be made using a special form. The Letters Room is appropriate for groups of more than 15 people. Groups of fewer than 15 can use the Learning Commons booking system to book an appropriate space in the Commons.

Conditions of use
- Room booking becomes invalid if the patron does not take possession of the room within 15 minutes of the booking start time. The room may then be made available to another patron.
- If a conference phone, computer facilities or internet access are required, the requestor must contact the Library’s Systems Officers on extension 3552 or 3230 at least one (1) week prior to the event to ensure that these requirements can be met. It may be necessary to arrange a short training session.
- Please note that the computer facilities in this room are individual to the room and the Library’s purpose.
- The phone is located at the Service Desk and will be provided when the booked patron requests the room to be unlocked. NO STD or International outgoing calls are permitted.
- If the kitchen facilities are required the patron must provide their own food, drink and utensils. The kitchen must be cleaned and rubbish removed when vacating the room. Please DO NOT turn off the refrigerator. Room must be left neat and tidy.
- If signage is required within the Library regarding the activities/event held in the Letters Room the requestor must contact the Library’s Communications and Projects Coordination Officer at least one (1) week prior to the event on extension 3817 or libcomms@une.edu.au.
- The Dixson Library accepts no responsibility for any personal items left unattended in the room.
- It is highly recommended that you inspect the room prior to your booking. This is a multi-purpose room with flexible options for setup. As such, you may need to allocate some extra time to setup the room to suit your requirements.
- Bookings cannot be made more than 2 months in advance.
- Bookings cannot be made outside Library opening hours.
