Students and staff are able to borrow books, videos, DVDs, software and other material from the General Collection.
Journals, magazines, newspapers and books in the Reference Collection are not for loan.
Loan periods differ according to your level of study.
Please carry your UNE Card if you wish to borrow.
Loans can be renewed online. There are also fines for late return of items.
You cannot borrow, place holds, recall or renew loans on behalf of someone else.
Distance students can borrow from home by using our online forms.
Recalls
All loans are subject to recall and must be returned when requested. Failure to return recalled material may result in heavy fines.
Returning loans
During open hours there are return chutes next to the Single Service Desk in Dixson Library and at the Loans Desk in the Law Library.
After hours, loans can be returned through the return chutes next to the front doors of the Dixson and Law Library.
Loans returned after hours will be processed on the next opening day.
Loans from Reserve
Reserve items should be handed to the staff member on duty at the Desk.
Mongraph Storage and Special Collections
If you wish to view material from Monograph Storage or Special Collections, please use the Closed Collection Retrieval Request form.
Items requested by 2.00 PM on a weekday, are available for use by 3.00 PM on the same day (excluding public holidays). Items required on weekends must be requested before 2.00 PM the previous Friday. Items will be held for seven days at the Service Desk. If you wish to confirm that your request is available, call the Service Desk on (02) 6773 2458.
Note that Special Collection items are for in-library use only.
